After speaking with over a hundred professionals involved in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, a research firm has released information regarding the health and welfare of the healthcare supply chain management system in place. The report suggests that few industries actually look into outsourcing their supply chain and a large issue with the management stems from reining in the costs of proper management. A large number of professionals in the industry fully expect large increases in health care cost over the next few years and ensuring that those costs do not make medicine prohibitively expensive has become a full-time job for some administrators.

Although recent years have shown decreases in many sectors of the job market, it seems that there are a few industries which have experienced recent growth. The number of available medical jobs has seen an increase lately which is good news for job seekers in the medical industry but which might not be the best news for the overall population since a large reason that more health professionals are needed is because of the increase of the very aged in the population and the arrival of many Baby Boomers into their retirement years which requires that they have greater access to health professionals.
